Our Teens &youth Programs

1- Sexual Abuse Awareness workshop

The aim of the workshop is to develop self worth and a sense of identity for teenagers. By learning to love and accept themselves, they will be able to protect themselves. How? By learning about consent and boundaries, as well as setting an action plan to follow which helps them release any shameful emotions or feelings of guilt.

2- Anti-Bullying Awareness workshop

This workshop hammers on empathy and understanding other people’s feelings as well as freedom of choice and how the choices we make are a reflection of who I am and who I want to be. The workshop also tackles how to react appropriately without violence and how to defend and stand for myself safely.

3- Healthy vs Unhealthy Relationships Workshop

In this workshop, teens will learn the purpose of friendships and important aspects to identify before starting a friendship/relationship. We also discuss two important aspects in any relationship:
→ Values: what I value and expect to be found in friendship (respect-trust-honesty..)
→ Boundaries: emotional and physical boundaries that cannot be crossed in a friendship/relationship.

4- Coping Mechanisms Workshop

This workshop is a very important tool in a teenager’s life. We discuss critical topics like, validating pain, understanding how each person is different in dealing with challenges, identifying unhealthy coping when met with challenges (examples: projecting, suppressing, substance abuse or dependency, etc.). We introduce to the teen healthy coping strategies and how to establish resources to increase self resilience.

5- Gender Equality Workshop

In today’s world it’s important to educate our youth on the importance of gender equality as well as understanding gender differences and rights, which will in turn encourage achieving dreams. This workshop also helps them break society’s stereotype for gender roles and encourages critical thinking (agreeing or condemning society’s norms).

6- Identity Workshop

Who am I? A question we all ask ourselves at some point in life. In our Identity Workshop we tackle self-awareness and who we are (body-mind-soul), through:
→ Taking care of all three (mind, body, and soul)
→ Developing self-acceptance/self-love leading to positive self-talk
→ Building self-worth and what influences its development

7- Living for a Purpose

For our Living for a Purpose Workshop we analyze the reason for living on earth (why am I here?). The teens are urged to explore their own talents and strengths and use those talents to serve themselves and others. We discuss how important it is to think outside our own benefit and needs and include others in our thinking process. We also provide tools for exploring their own purpose in life.
